This hat is a good “donation” hat, for cancer patients who have lost their hair. I have a husband in the hospital suffering from gastric cancer, and he’s undergoing chemotherapy. I know not all who take the treatments lose their hair, and I hope that it doesn’t. He has long, beautiful, thick, glossy brown hair. And if it does fall out, I have this hat pattern that I can use to make a few hats for him. He also has a sensitive scalp, so I used cotton yarn. He likes mine, so maybe I can convince him to let me make him a green one… with brown stripes. I’m totally in love with the color combo, and he likes it, too. So, if you have a loved one in the hospital, or undergoing chemotherapy, this is a great hat. Maybe not in the colors I chose, but then, I’m weird. You do what you like.
